YVONNE VAN ROEKEL and PETER BELLCHAMBERS (Italian Escapade; The Necromancer) have been married for almost 30 years. Of course, they always work together and never argue, ever. 

Peter was lucky enough to go to a Montessori school, where he learned to draw, to read Winnie the Pooh, to crawl around his garden, and to take life very seriously. While at university, he came second in the election for the students’ union president, representing the TWIT (Tomorrow’s World Is Today) party. At the San Francisco airport, he left his passport, tickets, and money in the back of the hire car. He remains amazed that his wife somehow tolerates such behavior. 

Yvonne was born below sea level but managed to crawl up the nearest sand dune and gaze at the sunsets over the North Sea Canal, watching the ships sailing off to mysterious worlds. They inspired her to travel and to take up residence in Oregon, Norway, Hong Kong, Singapore, California, Portugal, and France. A former food critic and contributor to the Algarve Magazine, she has never been able to kick the writing habit. She remains amazed that her husband still has not taken up her Dutch way of organizing passports and tickets.
